NANWO Website

About The Project

NANWO, or the National Association Of Neighborhood Watch Organizations, is a simple idea that required complex planning and architecture. The NANWO website was developed to disperse important information quickly both locally and globally. The concept behind NANWO is that someone sees criminal activity and post it to NANWO with their smartphone or computer. To make the process quicker and with less room for user error, we built in GPS technology that automatically populates the users location. When they post criminal activity with the web application, everyone in the area of the post receives a text or email notification.

The website is built on a mobile responsive platform and ColdFusion technology. The site also runs subscription based e-commerce with automatic recurring payments from users. The entire site runs on a secure network and is built to handle thousands of request per day.

Black Bear Design also developed an internet marketing strategy, marketing materials including a trade show booth and attended the official launch of NANWO at the Nation Association of REALTORS annual event in San Francisco.
