The Search Director is senior-level position reporting to the VP of Operations & Managing Partner, and will supervise the SEO team.

This person serves as head of the Search Department with responsibilities for overseeing all SEO and PPC efforts for the agency. The Search Director leads all strategic campaign planning and budget spending for all clients.

This position entails approximately 50% PPC creation/management, 30% strategy, and 20% management of SEO.


  • Google Ads & Bing Ads specialist
  • Knack of implementing new technologies, automation capabilities that enhance SEM efforts
  • Ability to write ad copy and optimize through A/B testing
  • Experience in managing performance-based PPC campaigns
  • Experience in gathering insights from multiple data sources and making informed decisions to improve the performance of campaigns
  • Accelerate PPC Marketing using analytical and creative skills.
  • Ability to manage contractors and organize teams (i.e. publishing content – writing, editing, development)
  • Experience in managing performance-based SEO campaigns


  • Creating, managing, & optimizing SEM campaigns in Google Ads & Bing Ads.
  • Develop & implement Google Display campaign strategies (i.e. retargeting, specific placements, etc).
  • Track and plan for traffic patterns.
  • Determine ROI on search marketing efforts.
  • Tracking of funds in the account and maintaining conversion rate.
  • Daily, Weekly, and monthly reporting to both Account Managers and VP of Operations.


  • Provide leadership, strategic vision, and direction to the team
  • Support an environment of collaboration
  • Establishing workflow for requesting, creating, editing, and publishing campaigns
  • Be a strategic voice and mentor for Search Department team to help us to continually develop our craft
  • Day-to-day management of team including participation in the hiring process


  • Google Ads/Analytics Certification
  • Experience in developing SEM campaigns is a requirement (5-7 years) for multiple clients in an agency setting
  • Experience in managing SEO campaigns is a requirement (1-2 years)
  • Works well with Excel

  • Expert-level writing, spelling, and grammar skills (Oxford comma use negotiable)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team
  • Ability to carefully scrutinize and revise her/his own work

  • Flexibility and team player attitude even when on tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Skills in SEO-friendly content creation and press releases preferred
  • This position is full-time in our Atlanta office
