Account Manager

Account managers reports directly to the Vice President of Client Services for the activity and status of accounts and transactions. An account manager will manage multiple accounts, though that number will vary depending on the requirements of the company. This is a frontline, client-facing position. Responsibilities are as follows:

  • Develop and deliver senior-level marketing strategy and tactics to C-Suite level clients, derived from industry insights and category expertise. Strategizing with production team to establish a plan for each account, complete with goals and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with both clients and internal teams to guide and contribute in the development of creative ideas and deliverables.
  • Be well versed in the various marketing opportunities in social, digital, and print, web, and broader marketing mix, to provide client recommendations on the proper KPIs, based on brand-specific goals. A working knowledge of Search Engine, Web, and Social Media marketing is essential.
  • Creating a portfolio of client accounts and monitoring the ongoing activities related to them.
  • Conducting meetings with the clients as well as informing them about the current work status of their projects. Managing, reviewing progress and delivering the client’s “big ticket” projects. Traffic management will handle the day-to-day project updates.
  • Identifying accounts whose revenue may be shrinking so as to address any ‘at risk’ customers and reach out to these accounts to ensure they are retained.
  • Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts to retain a client-account manager relationship by up-selling and cross-selling.
  • Manage and solve conflicts with clients. The Account Manager is expected to have specific information regarding daily operations of the production and keep the client updated.
  • Interact and coordinate with the sales team and other staff members in other departments working on the same account.
  • Meet time deadlines for accounts.
  • Responsible for assignments centered around operational and internal initiatives, as provided by the Leadership team.

  • Real understanding of print, web, digital marketing products and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creativity, initiative combined with commercial awareness.

Salary & Compensation

  • Base pay commensurate with experience.
  • 10%, one-time commission on any upsell of existing client.
  • 5% annual bonus on salary for meeting set goals.
